Sharapova perfect no longer

For the first time in 2008 Maria Sharapova lost a match. Coming in she had been 18-0, which included titles at the Australian Open and Doha. Tonight she fell to fellow Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 in the semifinals at Indian Wells. Kuznetsova will now play for her third title this year, but she is still looking to win her first. With all the attention placed on Sharapova this year, Kuznetsova has quietly put together a very solid resume in ’08. Kuznetsova will get one of two Serbians in the final – either Ivanovic or Jankovic. She is 1-4 in her career against Ivanovic and 3-2 (with a win in 2008) against Jankovic. I wonder who she is rooting for?
