A couple quick thoughts for this morning from the tennis world…
- Great article on Anna Kournikova from Bonnie Ford and ESPN.com. Anna has always been one of Nick’s favorite students and the two remain close today. In fact, we saw Anna in Miami and she gave Nick a big hug and even posed for a picture!
- Maria Sharapova will skip the Fed Cup tie against the USA later this month. This will make it a little easier for the US team that will be without Venus and Serena Williams. Although the Russian team still looks pretty formidable.
- Speaking of players that have trained at the NBTA that aren’t playing international team competitions, Tommy Haas won’t be suiting up for the Germans.
- If you haven’t seen this video from the Mikhail Youzhny/Nicolas Almagro match you need to! Who said tennis isn’t a contact sport?
