Hantuchova out of French Open?
TennisWeek.com is reporting that Daniela Hantuchova may have to skip the French Open due to the stress fracture she has in her right foot. The injury has hampered her since last month’s tournament at Amelia Island and caused her to pull out of Rome and Berlin. Hantuchova is still hoping that she can play in Paris, but things are up in the air as of right now.
If Hantuchova withdraws, that will be another blow to the WTA. They have already had Justine Henin’s retirement, the expected withdrawal of Lindsay Davenport, and both Tatiana Golovin and Sania Mirza have also withdrawn because of injuries.
