Larcher de Brito rallies for victory

Michelle Larcher de Brito picked up another victory today with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over American Vania King in the first round at the Rogers Cup in Montreal. Larcher de Brito will now face either 15th-seeded Italian Flavia Pennetta or Olga Savchuk in the second round. Michelle beat Savchuk in straight sets in the last round of qualifying, but Savchuk got in when Ashley Harkleroad pulled out due to a back injury.

Another big win for Michelle, and we wish her the best of luck in Round 2!
