Berankis picks up win
Ricardas Berankis training at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy
Former World #1 Junior and NBTA student Ricardas Berankis won his first round match in the US Open qualifying draw against David Marrero. Berankis won 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 and now will face top-seeded Sergiy Stakhovsky in the second round. Stakhovsky is ranked #91 in the world, while Berankis is #476. The two have never faced before.
