2008 US Open – Day 2 Schedule is packed

It will be a very busy day for us today, as Tommy Haas, Nicole Vaidisova, and Sabine Lisicki will all take the courts. Haas will be involved in an excellent match-up with Richard Gasquet. This isn’t the type of match you would expect to see in the first round, but because Haas isn’t seeded this is what happens. Tough match for bother players, and it is hard to predict. I feel if Tommy is on, he has a very good chance to win this.
Nicole will take on fellow Czech woman Petra Cetkovska, and Sabine will face Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez of Spain. Both matches are winnable, so let’s hope we go three for three today in wins!!
Other than the NBTA alum, there are another match we have our eyes on…
Vince Spadea vs. Marat Safin – This is going to be a fun match. Both players are known for there theatrics on court, and both are unpredictable. Spadea might have to get his best raps going to distract Safin!! This is match for the fans.
