Michelle Larcher de Brito, 15, has reached her first career WTA Tour Quarterfinal at the 2008 Tashkent Open. Today, she defeated Tatiana Poutchek, a former top 60 player, 6-4, 6-1 and will next face the #3 seed, Sorana Cirstea of Romania. She and Cirstea have played each other twice before. The first came at the 2006 Girls 18 Eddie Herr International when Michelle was just 13-years-old. Cirstea won that Quarterfinal battle 7-5 in the third set. The second came at the 2007 Jr. Roland Garros Round of 16, and Michelle won that 7-5 in the third set.

Hey Nick what the heck happened to Kei???? Gasguet blew him off the court. That was horrendous tennis.
You can’t win them all. A lot of pressure on the young man to perform well in his home country. He is still young, and Gasquet is one of the best players in the world. Don’t worry about Kei, he will be fine.
I like Kei…dont get me wrong…I guess I expected a more spirited match but like you said Gasquet is one of the best…
