For those of you who were wondering what Nicole Vaidisova is doing to prepare for 2009. We have an answer for you. According to this article from Rediff India Abroad, Nicole will be ready for next season.
It would be great to have Nicole back at full strength for the ’09 season. She has so much talent and can be a serious challenger for a Grand Slam title when healthy and focused. Let’s hope she is both for the next season.

That’s a very encouraging article! There’s been so much talk and speculation this year of Nicole’s off-court distractions (her relationship with Radek Štěpánek, and her stepfather ceasing to be her coach) affecting her on-court attitude (in the form of tanking), but we must not forget that injury has also been a major factor in her slump.
Amen to Nick’s second paragraph! Nicole is certainly talented enough – and, at 19, just about young enough – to win her first Major within the next three years.
