Serbian-sensation Filip Krajinovic advanced to the quarterfinals of the Knoxville Challenger with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win over jump-serving Brian Battistone. Krajinovic, who is only 16-years old, is playing in his first career Challenger quarterfinal, and will face American Alex Kuznetsov today. The two recently met in the qualies at a Challenger in Calabasas, CA and Kuznetsov prevailed 6-2, 7-6(3).

If Krajinovic is to win today he will face either second-seeded Bobby Reynolds or seventh-seeded Rajeev Ram. No matter the result, Krajinovic is sure to move up in the rankings from his current spot of #901. How high he will go is still to be determined.

Here are a couple of articles from the Knoxville News about Filip’s success, to read them click here and here.

Good luck today to Filip!!
