2009 Australian Open – Bhambri reaches finals
Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy student Yuki Bhambri has reached the finals of the Junior Boys’ Singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win over seventh-seeded Adrien Puget of France. Bhambri, the top seed in the tournament, hasn’t dropped a set since the first round. He comes into the tournament ranked as the #2 junior in the world, and has already won the Orange Bowl and the Mayor’s Cup (two big junior tournaments). He will now face Alexandros-Ferdinandos Georgoudas of Germany for the first time, who is unseeded, but has knocked off four seeded player en route to the finals.
