Larcher de Brito into Round 2
Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy student Michelle Larcher de Brito has advanced to the second round of qualifying at Indian Wells with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Galina Voskoboeva. Larcher de Brito upset the 81st ranked Voskoboeva by breaking her five times and winning over 50% of the points on Voskoboeva’s second serve. Larcher de Brito will face either Anna Lapushchenkova or Alberta Brianti in the second round, and with a win she will reach the main draw.
