Bhambri captures India Futures title
Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy students, Yuki Bhambri, won his first ATP Futures tournament over the weekend and he did it without dropping a set. Yuki, who is currently the #1 ranked junior in the world, beat fifth-seeded Vishnu Vardhan 7-6(1), 6-4 to earn the title. For the win, Yuki will receive 25 ATP points which will jump him about 600 spots in the ATP Tour Rankings when they come out next week.
Before leaving for the tournament, Yuki spent a good deal of time training at the NBTA with many of the world’s best players. “This is the biggest step so far in my career. I proved to myself that I could win at this level. I have been matching players ranking between 300 and 400 in training at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. I had the confidence that I could win,” said Bhambri, who has been given a direct entry into the next tournament at the same venue.
Congrats to Yuki and good luck in your next tournament!

Yuki picked up his second Future’s title on 2nd May. His ranking should be up in the 650s now. This kid has some serious flair Nick…look after him well…
