Larcher de Brito advances in Paris
Playing in her first career Grand Slam main draw match, 16-year old Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy student, Michelle Larcher de Brito, defeated Melanie South 0-6, 7-6(5), 7-5 in the opening round of the French Open. Larcher de Brito, who qualified for the tournament, will next face world #15 and former Wimbledon semifinalist, Jie Zheng for the first time in her career.
