Rising Portuguese star Michelle Larcher de Brito broke into the top-100 for the first time in her very young career after a strong showing at the French Open. The 16-year old Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy student won three rounds of qualifying and then reached the third round of the Grand Slam tournament, beating top-20 player Jie Zheng in the process.

Larcher de Brito is now ranked #90 in the world, up 42 spots from where she was previously at #132. She is also the youngest player in the top 100 as she is a year and a half younger than Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Michelle has been given a main draw Wild Card for Wimbledon and will be playing there next!!

Congratulations and good luck to Michelle!
