Haas picks up title in Halle

Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy pro Tommy Haas won the 12th title of his career, and his first since winning in Memphis February 2007, in Halle, Germany. Haas defeated world #4 Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-1 to win the tournament. Haas has been plagued by injuries this year, which forced his ranking to drop to #87 but with a good run to the fourth round of the French Open and now capturing this title, he has moved back up to #35.
It’s great to see Tommy win this tournament because he has been working so hard at the Academy to get back into playing shape. This should also give him great confidence as he heads into Wimbledon next week as the tournament in Halle was on grass.
