Thursday’s Eddie Herr started off with a delay from the blankets of rain the night before but the action started popping from the word go. IMG is being represented to the fullest with Gianluigi Quinzi defeating Diego Pedraza 6-2, 6-1, Yifan Dang taking down Robert (Q) A Shulman 6-3, 6-2, but Mac Styslinger lost to Edward Nguyen (6) 7-5, 6-7(1), 7-5 after having two match points on his serve before finally going out.

Moving on into the finals Mariya Shishkina defeated Maria Patrascu 7-5, 6-3 to face former academy student Alicia Black in the girls 12′s finals on Friday which is sure to be a barn-burner after Alicia’s almost 5 hour marathon on Thursday. Zhao Di is the Academy’s last player remaining in the girls 18′s after defeating Ons Jabeur 6-4, 6-3 and in a big shocker on Thursday US Open Champion and number one seed Heather Watson lost to Polina Leykina (13) 7-6(6), 6-4.
Friday is sure to be exciting as its getting down to the last players fighting for the prestigous Eddie Herr championship.
