Harrison reaches first quarterfinal

Eighteen-year old IMG Bollettieri student, Ryan Harrison, has reached his first career ATP quarterfinal by defeating Denis Kudla 7-5, 7-6(5) at the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, RI. He is the youngest player ever to reach the quarterfinals at Newport, and now will face British qualifier, Richard Bloomfield, with a chance to to play in the semis. Harrison beat world #89, Karol Beck, in the opening round of the grass court event as well.
